What is Imaginistix?
In 1999, as the new millenium was about to start,
we decided to join forces and put our abilities to work as a team. To this purpose, we created
Imaginistix, The Art of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. Imaginistix will be bringing out the
best of our combined abilities to bring you, our audience, new paintings and new art collectibles.
We have some exciting ideas that we personally have wanted to do for many years. We believe
that the time has arrived. Our Imaginistix logo symbolizes the connection between our souls and our artistry, as well as
our imaginations. We promise the best is yet to come!
Can we scan and/or print the images in your books,
calendars or CDs for my personal use?
All of our images are copyrighted around the world.
Any unauthorized use of any of our images for any purpose whatsoever is not only unethical but
also against the law. Do not do it.
Is there any way I can get permission to display some of
the images in my website?
Sometimes under specific conditions we allow some
people to display a
limited number of our paintings in their web
sites. This only applies to
non-commercial, gallery type web sites. Because
of legal contracts
with our clients and agents we can never grant
permission to use any of our
copyrighted images for downloading, wallpapers or
screensavers. Keep in mind also
that we cannot allow you to use any of our art to
illustrate game characters, home pages,
or to represent any organization, group, ideology
or body of work. If your site is
indeed a gallery site we could direct you to the
conditions under which a limited
number of our images can be displayed.
Once again, never use any images from any artist
without their permission.
Can I send you my trading cards to be autographed?
We have a large selection of of signed prints for
sale. We would love to sign our books, trading cards, calendars, etc., at specific signings and
conventions. Please do not send your own material to us in the mail. We will be posting upcoming
appearances in our Fan Page. Please check it from time to time.
What paintings are available for sale? Do you
have a catalog?
We do not have a catalog of paintings available for
sale. The best way to get information about available paintings is by giving us an idea of
your subject preferences as well as price range. Most paintings are priced between $5,000 and
$12,000. We, however, have some around $3,000 and a few at higher prices. We will be happy
to give more details to serious inquiries.
I get your Calendars every year. I have not been
able to find it this year. Where can I buy it?
You should be able to get the Calendars in most
large bookstores, like Barnes and Nobles or Borders. If you prefer you may order it online
from Amazon.com. They usually have a good selection of our books.
I am an aspiring young artist. How do I go about
getting jobs?
First, let us say there are no shortcuts. You
should get proper training at a good art school. Put together a portfolio of the kind of work you
would like to do. Then take your portfolio around to art directors at the places that do the kind
of things that best suits your style. Be patient and work hard. It is not just the best way.
It is the only way.
Why can't I view the images on this site?
We have an entire page dedicated to this topic here.
